best pop-up toasters list of 2024

Best Pop-Up toasters in India in 2024

I enjoy eating bread toast made in a pop-up toaster. I don’t understand how some people can eat plain bread with butter when they could be enjoying delicious toast so easily. That’s why I’ve included a comparison of the best pop-up toasters available in India in 2024. There are significant differences between them that can either enhance or detract from your toasting experience, so it’s important to choose wisely.

Popup toasters are nothing but radiant heaters in a toaster body, that is, this is the same thing as the radiant heater you use at home but it is used to toast bread.

Things that matter the most: The build quality of an appliance is of utmost importance as it determines its longevity and durability. You invest your hard-earned money into purchasing an appliance, and it is essential to ensure that it lasts long.

Bread support is also a crucial factor to consider while purchasing a toaster. It ensures that the bread is placed equidistantly inside the toaster, resulting in even heating. Without support, the bread may tilt to one side, leading to uneven toasting.

In this comparison, we are looking at two-slice pop-up toasters, which means that you can put only two bread slices inside at a time. We have chosen to compare only two-slice pop-up toasters as they are suitable for small families who occasionally want to enjoy perfectly toasted bread.”

Great brands, not-so-good toasters: I will be comparing three popular brands of pop-up toasters that I found to be not-so-good. It may come as a surprise as these models were bestsellers on Amazon and Flipkart.

the toasters are :

1. Morphy Richards (AT 200 -700 watts) pop-up toaster priced at 1500 rupees

2. Pigeon (2 slice Pop-Up -750 watt) priced at 1200 rupees

3. Bajaj (ATX 4-750 watts) priced at 1450 rupees pop-up toaster and let me tell you this toaster of Bajaj is the highest-selling popup toaster on Amazon.

these prices are at the time of writing the article and may vary when you visit for purchase.

In all three of them, six and seven browning control settings will be seen, this means that if you want to brown it more then take it to the higher brown setting, and if you want to brown it less then only 1 2 3 is sufficient.

But these are all paper specs, What I am telling you is after extensive use of these for 6 months to 1 year period. We tried all the popup toasters on one, two and three browning settings and there is not much difference in the power of all of them, two are 750 watts and one Morphy Richards has 700 watts. but the difference was seen in the toast quality.

You saw the bread quality of Morphy Richards, this is not toast, this is burnt bread and you saw that we used it only on one brown setting despite that this is the condition, so people who If you want to buy a popup toaster from Morphy Richards, then my advice would be to please avoid it.

If you want to buy a popup toaster from Pigeon or Bajaj, then I would say, you can skip it.

There are two reasons for that, first, they do not have bread support inside and Due to lack of bread support, the bread will remain tilted on one side and will get browner on the tilted side. No matter whether you keep it on one side, two sides or three sides, it will become brown on the tilted side and you will get even toasting. And you definitely wouldn’t like an uneven toast, right? And It is not like you are not getting the option in other brands so why go for this brand.

Another reason for not recommending Pigeon is that its build quality is not that good. Inside a toaster, like I told you there is a radiant heater. If the build quality is not good inside the radiant heater, then its plastic may melt tomorrow, and it may get damaged. I don’t think that this Pigeon toaster will last even for 10 years which is why I don’t recommend these three toasters at all.

Bajaj’s toaster is still good, but I still think that you will find some other toaster better at the same price range.

Toasters we recommend:

3. Havells Crisp Plus toaster, which has a power of 750 Watts and offers two two-slice options. It features seven browning settings, defrost and reheat functions, and a removable crumb tray. However, these specifications are also available in other brands of toasters. Hence, the key factor that matters is the quality of bread toast.

When we tried the toaster, I was pleased with the results. It toasts bread evenly, even at the lowest setting, which is great for those who prefer lightly toasted bread. While other toasters on the market may produce darker toast, this toaster’s thermal control ensures that the bread is toasted to perfection, regardless of the browning setting. The toaster is a bit pricey i.e., Rs 2000 but comes with a comprehensive two-year warranty from Havells, which is worth the cost. Although the toaster doesn’t have any extraordinary features, it has a sturdy build quality and excellent bread support, resulting in even toasting. The cord is a bit short, but this doesn’t affect the toaster’s performance. Overall, the Havells popup toaster is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a high-quality and reliable toaster.

Now let’s come to another product which I liked very much and should appeal to everyone because everything about this product is so good

2. Agaro Venus (priced at 1260 rupees): The toaster comes with a power of 750 watts and inside it, you will also get to see an integrated bun rack, which is a welcome addition to an already great toaster.

What is the benefit of a bun rack? Well, It is not necessary that I have to eat bread, I can also eat the bun and if I want to toast the bun, that is my choice and if I want to do it, then at least I have the option, so that is very good and You are getting a convenient feature, whether you use it or not is your choice.

The six browning settings you get in it are fewer in number but it doesn’t make any difference as here I am showing you bread cooked at one and two settings and I enjoyed it because inside it you get bread support.

All other good features are also available such as Stop/Cancel and Reheat.

The Bread Crumb Tray of this toaster is of good quality. The overall build quality is also good and the bread toasts evenly. The best part is, it works great even when you want less toasting and gives crispy bread. This is what I liked the most. As for the cost, before I mention it, let me tell you that the warranty offered is only for one year, which seems a little less compared to other brands offering a warranty for 2 years. However, considering the reduced cost, I believe it is still the best value-for-money popup toaster, genuinely worth ₹1260. The build quality is also good, and I am getting evenly crisp bread.

1. Phillips (HD2582/00 2 slices): Number one on our list is the Phillips make toaster, which gives you such beautifully toasted bread that is evenly toasted up to the corners. You can imagine when you get even toasting at the corners, you will get crisp perfect bread, that is what you want from your popup toaster. So there is no doubt that no one can give better quality than this and it is one of the best popup toasters in the country in 2024.

It comes with all the usual bell and whistle features like cancel/stop, reheat, browning settings etc like other toasters and also a dust cover that keeps the inside of your toaster dust-free when not in use. But its cost is a little high. Philips gives two years comprehensive warranty on this model and you can get this model for ₹ 2000 more or less at this time. It comes with 830 watts.

One more bonus toaster that I use at home:

The reason I bought it is that apart from toasting bread to perfection it comes in a stainless steel body which makes its build quality top notch and I have been using it in my house for almost a year.

I’m happy with this Agaro Grand popup toaster which also gives you seven browning settings, stop-cancel, defroster and reheat functions, removable crumb tray. On this, you will get a one-year comprehensive warranty as usual from Agaro. Yes, you can say that a year comprehensive warranty is a little bit less. But other brands also charge more money for that extra warranty year they provide. I didn’t find anything wrong with this toaster in the one year I tested it at home. The spring quality is also very good and even to this date this spring is working very well and I am very happy with it.

I found only one drawback with my toaster – it lacks a dust cover and has become a little dirty with usage. However, it doesn’t make me sad because the toaster works great. The bread is evenly toasted and properly crisp. I am confident that it is made of good quality material because it has withstood falls without breaking. All things considered, this toaster is a great addition to any home and you may also purchase it for that perfect toast in the morning.
